Novice Forum

I am new to both PHP and this forum.  I know most people here are professionals and probably in the field for some time.  I have "inherited" a huge project that required I learn php very quickly.  I am in the process now.  I looked for a forum where I could post questions.  I live in Corvallis so I thought this would be a good forum to join because it was sort of local.  My problem is that I hate to "annoy" people with beginner questions in the regular portion of the forum.  I was wondering if you could set up a place where these sorts of questions would be expected and accepted.  I would very much appreciate the help!  If this is not the right place for me to be, please direct me to a good site.  Thanks in advance for your help.
