Meetings every second Tuesday
Meeting October 5, 2004
The October Meeting is confirmed for Tuesday, Oct 5th at 6:30 pm.
The Location is the NW Library Branch Meeting Room on the corner of 23rd and Thurman.
The speaker is Eric Laffoon, the lead developer of Quanta Plus, a web development environment which works very well for PHP development.
Doors open at 6:00pm and talk starts at 6:30pm. They kick us out at 8:00pm.
Food and drink are welcome in the meeting room, just cannot make a mess and of course no alcohol (But a short pub run after the meeting is not out of the question if anyone is interested)

Actually meetup.com came up at the last pdxphp meeting. Meetup is a National service for organizing meetings for anything you want, so you cannot really think of it as a 'competing group', and as for...

Lyza, the organizer of the next meetup was at our meeting so no need to inform.
If there are other web/scripting/php groups in Portland, I think we should most definitely make an attempt to befriend them and discuss coordinating our efforts to help better accomplish what we describe in our mission statement
