Meetings every second Tuesday
The Mozilla Adventures of PHP and Localization
October 9th Meeting
Meeting place will be CubeSpace [SE Grand & Washington]
The After Meeting will be at Produce Row Cafe [SE 2nd & Oak]
Wil Clouser will be giving an introduction about what localization is and why it's important to consider for your web applications and sites, followed by some best practices to help you avoid common pitfalls. Since gettext libraries are built into PHP, we'll cover how you can use them to begin localizing your applications right away.
Questions are encouraged. :)
Big thanks to local tech recruiter EdgeLink , as they will be providing Pizza for the meet!!!
Also thanks to the O'Reilly UG program for providing 2 copies of "Unicode Explained" which will be part of a free raffle at the meeting.
